Ingredients
  • 4-6 game hens
  • i can of mixed nuts, shaved almonds,
  • half pound of crisp fried bacon
  • 3 cans cream of chicken soup
  • white wine
  • swiss cheese

Directions
  1. preheat oven to 350
  2. into a roaster pour in the cans of creamy soup...add 2 cans of white wine and stir it good
  3. nest the game hens in the roaster breasts facing up and place the birds legs to the inside of the roaster... the soup should float into the cavities..
  4. crush and crumble the bacon into little bits and sprinkle all over...
  5. take a whole can of mixed nuts...run them through a hand grinder once to make them into small pieces...
  6. sprinkle all over....
  7. shred -shave -or tear the cheese and layer over the breasts to trap the sprinkles ........
  8. bake for one hour at least
  9. poke to a bone.......no red juices there done......
  10. if you put this on wild rice........wow.......

I was just thinking that cornish games hens were ignored in recent years! I'm looking forward to trying this!


Just had game hens for Christmas with my honey mustard glaze, but this sounds like a great way to make them-bookmarked!
