Tomatoes And Onion Salad

This a great refreshing salad that is perfect this time of year. Nice to make after a Sunday morning trip to the Farmers Market. The key is to let it marinate to really blend the flavors.
Ingredients
- 4 Large fresh tomatoes sliced shopping list
- 2 Medium Videlia onions sliced(or other sweet onion) shopping list
- 1/4 cup olive oil shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar shopping list
- 2 Tbls. minced fresh parsley shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning shopping list
- 1 teaspoon finley chopped onion shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Layer the Tomatoes and onions in a shallow serving dish( I use a glass pie pan)
- Combine all other ingredients in a jar with a lid
- Shake well and pour over tomatoes and onion slices
- Cover and refrigerate for atleast 2 hours before serving
- I sometimes throw in some chopped fresh herbs depending on what I have growing on the patio
