Oatmeal Cake

This was a recipe my grandmother had. I have seen her bake this one so many times, since I was about 7 yrs. old.It is very good.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 1 cups oatmeal shopping list
- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- TOPPING.... shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup nuts shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven at 350F.
- Boil 1 1/2 cup water.
- Pour over 1 cups oatmeal and set aside
- In mixer, add all ingredients, 1 cup butter,1 cup sugar,1 cup brown sugar, 3 eggs, 1 1/2 cup flour, 1 teaspoon soda,1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
- Add cooled oatmeal.
- Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2 pan.
- Mix topping 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup nuts .
- Pour on cake.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
