Pumpkin Pecan Ice Cream Recipe
This is very delicious alone, wonderful subtle pumpkin flavor. Great served atop pumpkin or apple or pecan pie.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 whole eggs, clean uncracked
  • 1 tsp apple pie or pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions
  1. Have all ingredients chilled.
  2. In large bowl whisk together the cream, half and half, sugar, eggs, vanilla, canned pumpkin and spice.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Process as instructed in your electric ice cream maker, adding the pecans when mixture starts to thicken.
  5. Deep freeze. Yield: 4 cups or less
  6. If you feel uncomfortable using the raw eggs, temper into heated cream and half and half and then chill well and add with remainder of ingredients and chill well and contine with recipe.
