vegetarian wontons

- 1 medium, diced shopping list
- 1 package extra firm tofu cut into small squares shopping list
- 2 cups rice, cooked shopping list
- 1/2 cup soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon ginger powder (I usually add more) shopping list
- 1 teaspoon onion salt shopping list
- 40 wonton wrappers shopping list
- oil for deep frying shopping list
How to make it
- Sauté diced onions until golden.
- Add tofu, rice, soy sauce, and all seasonings to the sauté until brown and just beginning to crisp.
- Remove sauté from heat and begin preparing your wonton wraps.
- Dab the outside edge of the wonton wrapper with water; moist, not wet. Place 1 teaspoon of sauté in each wrapper. Scrunch together the edge to make it a fan shape.
- Heat the deep frying oil on stove to medium high. Deep fry the wontons until they're golden and crisp.
- (Note: It's a good idea to let them drain on paper towels while they cool.)
