How to make it

  • Sauté diced onions until golden.
  • Add tofu, rice, soy sauce, and all seasonings to the sauté until brown and just beginning to crisp.
  • Remove sauté from heat and begin preparing your wonton wraps.
  • Dab the outside edge of the wonton wrapper with water; moist, not wet. Place 1 teaspoon of sauté in each wrapper. Scrunch together the edge to make it a fan shape.
  • Heat the deep frying oil on stove to medium high. Deep fry the wontons until they're golden and crisp.
  • (Note: It's a good idea to let them drain on paper towels while they cool.)
