How to make it

  • Drain pineapple, reserving juice
  • In measuring cup, add pineapple juice and enough water to measure 2 cups
  • Heat this to boiling
  • Meanwhile, in bowl place lime jello and softened cream cheese
  • Pour boiling water/juice mixture over this
  • Stir until dissolved
  • Add crushed pineapple, stirring lightly
  • Add nuts if desired
  • Place in dish and refrigerate until congealed
  • Cut into squares when ready to serve
