This is a very nice and creamy chocolate cake. I obtained this recipe from an estate sale I purchased recently and made this one right away. It was a big hit last Sunday at Sunday School. Hope you enjoy as much as we did.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup buttermilk baking mix
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk divided
  • 3/4 cup chocolate syrup divided
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • Whipped topping or ice cream

Directions
  1. Combine baking mix and cocoa in large bowl.
  2. Mix in 1 cup milk, 1/4 cup syrup and the vanilla.
  3. Mix until well blended then spoon into greased square pan.
  4. Combine remaining milk, syrup and hot water in small bowl.
  5. Pour liquid mixture over mixture in pan but do not stir.
  6. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes then allow to stand 15 minutes.
  7. Spoon into dessert dishes with pudding over top.
