How to make it

  • Bake or buy your favorite cake for 9 inch pan
  • I used a sponge cake.
  • Cut cake into even pieces.
  • You need two pieces for each serving to stack onto each other, so take that into consideration
  • Mix softened cream cheese with powder sugar to taste for sweetness and add the vanilla ( or rum or almond )
  • To serve:
  • Place a layer of cake on a plate,.
  • Spread some softened cream cheese over cake, layer on fresh , sliced strawbwerries.
  • Add another piece of cake over that
  • Carefully spread more cream cheese over top of cake and layer on more berries.
  • Garnish with a whipped cream. Add nuts too if desired
  • Place some thick fudge sauce evenly around cake plate.
  • Tip: it helps if the cake is cold ( partially frozen ) because it make spreading on the cream cheese easier.
  • So the time you plate the desserts and serve them, everything will be softened and ready
