Wheat-free Blueberry Maple Crisp Recipe
I devised this myself.Had a sweet tooth and now not eating wheat.Easy to put together,even easier to enjoy. The only thing wrong with this recipe is that I did not have any ice cream in the house!

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 cups frozen blueberries
  • 1 3.8 oz,(single serve size) applesauce
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbl.corn startch
  • 1 tbl.lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp.cinnamon
  • Toppping:
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbl.corn startch
  • 1/2 cup,quick oats
  • 1/2 cup nut meal,(I used pecan meal,but walnut,almond or hazelnut would do also,or even pumpkin seed)
  • 1/2 tsp.cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup REAL maple syrup
  • 3 tbl.butter,melted

Directions
  1. In a large bowl,combine berries,applesauce,sugar,lemon juice,corn startch and cinnamon.Place in either a 2 qt oven proof dish or 9x9 pan.
  2. Topping:In a bowl combine brown suger,corn startch,oats,cinnamon,and nut meal with a fork.Pour maple syrup,and butter into bowl and stir until all is moistened.
  3. Sprinkle over fruit mix and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to1 hour or until golden and fruit is soft.
  4. Let cool on rack for 15 minutes.
