How to make it

  • Toss everything into the pot and let it boil for about 20 minutes or more till it cooks down.
  • Add more water as desired.
  • Can be frozen into individual portions.
  • This recipe can be a main meal and/or used for fasting.
  • If you don't have any tomatoes, just add a few squirts of ketchup.

    Nice recipe, but i have one gripe about the "no fat" tag. olive oil is in the ingredients, olive oil is fat. adding bouillon cubes? fat. truth in labeling.

    Very good. I used chopped spinach instead of Chard. And I used chicken bouillion cubes. Yummy!

    I love this soup. Easy to make and freeze . Comes in handy on a cold cold day. The only dif. with mine and this one is I add bell pepper.

    I can't seem to get this picture off the page. It was intended for the profile page. Now my cabbage soup resembles a forest.

    Fixed the error. Thanks so much for letting me know about it. The original recipe had zucchini in it, but I don't like zuchini made that way. I found out about the ketchup when I didn't have any fresh tomatoes or canned ones either. The ketchup and red swiss chard give it a nice reddish color and flavor. I've also put beets in it before.
