This is another of my Nana's strawberry recipes. This frosting is a light fluffy fresh strawberry wonderful topping for a fresh strawberry cake. My youngest's favorite!

Ingredients
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 package frozen strawberries, in syrup, or 3 cups sliced fresh strawberries

Directions
  1. Beat until right consistency.
  2. NOTE: The directions above were all I got from Nana. In doing it myself, I follow these directions:
  3. Beat egg white until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in powdered sugar and then gradually add strawberries and beat until light, fluffy and stiff peaks form Enough frosting for 2 9" layers. Refrigerate cake after frosting. Make sure cake is completely cooled before icing.
