Sweet And Sour Ribs In The Crock Pot Recipe
SWEET AND SOUR RIBS IN THE CROCK POT This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Bevin Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1990.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 pounds pork spareribs cut into 2” sections

Directions
  1. In a saucepan combine brown sugar and flour then add water and stir well to dissolve sugar.
  2. Add vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic powder and ground ginger.
  3. Cook until thickened stirring constantly then layer ribs in slow cooker
  4. Spoon sauce over each layer to coat ribs then cover and cook on low for 12 hours.
