Blueberry Angel Food Cake Rolls Recipe
BLUEBERRY ANGEL FOOD CAKE ROLLS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Dawson Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1982.

Ingredients
  • 1 package angel food cake mix
  • Confectioner's sugar
  • 1 can blueberry pie filling
  • 1/4 cup confectioner's sugar

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Line two jelly roll pans with aluminum foil.
  3. Prepare cake following package directions then divide into pans and spread evenly.
  4. Cut through batter with knife to remove air bubbles.
  5. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes then invert cakes at once onto dishtowels dusted with sugar.
  6. Remove foil carefully then roll up each cake with towel jelly roll fashion starting at short end.
  7. Cool completely then unroll cakes.
  8. Spread 1 cup pie filling to within 1” of edges on cake.
  9. Reroll and place seam side down on serving plate.
  10. Dust with 1/4 cup confectioners sugar and serve.

Yet again the "1 package angel food cake mix" stops me again. Can i just use a recipe and then add your steps? because this sounds good and i am not willing to go out and buy a box mix when i wan t make it all by hand.
