MAPLE WALNUT BREAD This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hamilton Estate in Terrell, Texas in 1982.

Ingredients
  • 1-1/4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon maple extract
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup walnuts coarsely chopped
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons rapid rise yeast

Directions
  1. Place all ingredients in bread machine then program for basic cycle and desired crust setting.
  2. Press start and when complete remove from pan and cool on rack.
