Ingredients
  • one gallon water (get the plastic jug)
  • 8 tea bags (salada my fav)
  • 1 cup sugar or to liking or use artificial sweetener
  • slice of lemon or orange per glass
  • mint leaves for additional garnish

Directions
  1. In large pot bring water to boil
  2. turn off
  3. take tea bags and dunk them in holding onto ends
  4. swirl and redunk for two to three minutes until water turns a nice dark brown
  5. Leaving tea bags longer gives a bitter and dry-tongue taste
  6. remove bags and discard
  7. stir in sweetener until dissolved
  8. let cool to warm and pour into plastic jug
  9. cover and refrigerate (should keep fine for a week)
  10. OR pour into a glass full of ice cubes and garnish with lemon/orange
  11. add fresh squeezed lemon juice if you like it.
  12. garnish with mint leaves

I too have put up our family recipe for iced tea. My kids are not fond of the mint or lemon, so I make a pretty bland tea. I really like yours!
