Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups granola cereal
  • 1 - 6 oz pkg mixed dried fruit bits (1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 cup white baking pieces

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds.
  3. Add the sugars and baking soda. Beat until combined.
  4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.
  5. Beat in as much flour as you can with the mixer.
  6. Stir in any remaining flour and the granola.
  7. Stir in the dried fruit bits and baking pieces.
  8. Drop the dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten slightly.
  9. Bake about 10 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  10. Cool on cookie sheets for 1 minutes.
  11. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely.
