Ds Teriyaki Venison Stir-Fry Recipe
This dish has fooled the anti-venison folks......the nonbelievers....the beef addicts.... It has won some over to "our side"....that venison can be delicious when cooked right!

Ingredients
  • Make rice for serving stir fry
  • 1 lb. venison steak, cut into 1/4-inch strips
  • 2 tablespoons oil (veg. or olive)
  • _______________________________
  • 5 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, DIVIDED into 3 T. and 2T.
  • 1/2 teaspooon seasoned salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • _______________________________
  • 1/2 cup julienned onion
  • 1 med. julienned sweet red and/or green pepper
  • _______________________________
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup cold water

Directions
  1. Brown steak in oil in skillet, drain
  2. Sprinkle with 3T. teriyaki sauce, seasoned salt and pepper
  3. Cover and cook, medium heat, about 5 mins. , until meat is almost tender, stirring frequently
  4. Stir in onion and pepper,
  5. Cover and cook 5-8 mins., or until meat and veg. are tender
  6. In a bowl, combine cornstarch, water and 2 T. teriyaki sauce until smooth
  7. Add to skillet, bring to a boil, cook and stir for 2 mins.or until thickened
  8. Serve over rice immediately
