Onion Rivel Soup

- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 2 cups sliced onions shopping list
- 6 cups beef broth shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 3/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 tsp black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter and add onions. Saute until golden brown. Add broth and bring to a boil. Meanwhile, beat egg well and add flour, salt, and pepper. Mix first with tablespoon then by rubbing dough between your fingers. (No pieces larger than a pea). Sprinkle dough pieces slowly into the the boiling broth, stirring constantly, but gently. Reduce heat to medium and simmer 8 to 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
