Kolukattai Or Sweet Dumpling

- Outer skin : shopping list
- 1 C raw rice , soaked for 1 hr shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 C milk shopping list
- 1 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- Fillings : shopping list
- 1 C fresh grated coconut , 1/2 C jaggery , 3 cardamoms , 1 tsp ghee - fry until thickens shopping list
- OR shopping list
- 1 C fresh grated carrot , 1/2 C caster sugar , fried nuts , 3 cardamoms , 1 tsp ghee - fry until thickens shopping list
- OR shopping list
- 6 cashewnuts , 6 almonds , 2 dates , 3 cherries , 12 raisins , 2 tsp sugar , 3 cardamoms , 2 tsp fresh grated coconut , 2 tsp roasted poppy seeds - mix well shopping list
How to make it
- Add water and make a paste with the rice and salt in a food processor .
- Heat a pan . Add the oil , paste and milk .
- Stir until it thickens and roll into a dough .
- Make 13 balls .
- Flatten it abit and put the filling in the middle and cover it .
- Seal the edges .
- Steam for 5 mins and serve warm .
