How to make it

  • Soften gelatin in cold chicken stock then add hot stock and salt.
  • Stir until dissolved then add lemon juice and chill until gelatin begins to thicken.
  • Fold in apple, chicken, celery and walnuts.
  • Pour into lightly oiled loaf pan and chill until firm then unmold on crisp salad greens.
