Ingredients

How to make it

  • Beat butter and brown sugar in a small mixer bowl then beat in flour.
  • Press onto bottom of greased rectangular baking pan and bake in preheated 375 oven for 15 minutes.
  • Cool completely.
  • For filling spread jam over crust.
  • Combine walnuts and sugar in small bowl then set aside 2 tablespoons for topping.
  • Beat eggs until light in large mixer bowl then beat in remaining walnut mixture, flour and vanilla.
  • Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips then pour over crust and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Immediately sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over top then let stand for 5 minutes until chips are shiny then spread.
  • Sprinkle with reserved walnut mixture.
  • Cool and chill for 10 minutes to set chocolate.
  • Cut into bars.

    I made these a few nights ago. Everyone love them and they did not last long. The only thing I would do is cut the walnuts in half. I love nuts but it seemed to be a little much in this recipe. Thanks agian for sharing!!

    Me too and these are so good. Hope you like them as much as I do. Enjoy. I have also made them with peach preserves and they are very good as well.
