We make these for Christmas eve every year, but you can make them anytime...they are AWESOME, and addictive!!!! At least half of us fight over them as soon as they come from the oven! They will not last long...so put your gloves on now!

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef, browned.
  • 1 pound ground sausage, browned.
  • 1/2 large pack velveeta cheese, cubed.
  • 1 tbsp. oregano
  • 1 package cocktail size rye bread.

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375*
  2. Combine all of the cooked meat, cheese and oregano in a pan. Heat long enough to melt the cheese, stirring so it does not burn.
  3. Put a spoonful of the mixture on top of each slice of bread, place them on a cookie sheet.
  4. Place in oven and bake for about 10 minutes (the edges of the bread should be a little crunchy, but not burnt).
  5. Enjoy!!! And don't forget to invite me over when you have them!!!!

Yes...PLEASE do....I have yet to meet anyone outside of my family that has ever tried these! OOOH I wish I could make them now...I can never find the bread anytime after the holidays around here though!
