Sweet And Sour Tomato Sauce

My mother made this sauce to go over dried lima beans and of course I have kept it going.
Ingredients
- 1 can of tomates (break apart if using whole tomatoes) shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 cup vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients in a thick sauce pan.
- Stir until sugar is desolved.
- Cook on medium heat until thick and syrupy.(is that a word?)
- Serve over cooked dried lima beans (or you may have other uses for it)
- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
- Be careful not to let this burn. It can ruin a pan.
