Pecan Cake

- 1 pound butter shopping list
- 2-1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 7 eggs separated shopping list
- 5 cups cake flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 4 tablespoons warm wine shopping list
- 2 ounces lemon extract shopping list
- 1 pound candied pineapple shopping list
- 1-1/2 pounds candied cherries shopping list
- 1 quart chopped pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter and sugar then add beaten egg yolks then a little flour then the baking soda dissolved in the warm wine.
- Add remaining flour alternately with the lemon extract.
- Stir in fruit and nuts then fold in the beaten egg whites.
- Bake in pans lined with wax paper at 250 for 4 hours.
