Roses Overnight Coffee Cake

- 1/3 cup butter, softened shopping list
- ½ cup sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 egg, beaten shopping list
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- ½ tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- ½ tsp. ground cinnamon shopping list
- ½ cup buttermilk shopping list
- Topping 1/4 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg shopping list
How to make it
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add egg; mix well. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Beat well. Spread into a greased 8 “ square baking pan. Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over batter. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake, uncovered, at 350 F for 40 to 45 minutes or until the cake tests done. Serves 6 to 8.
