Breaded Organic Tomatoes

- 8-10 small to medium firm fresh tomatoes shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter, melted shopping list
- 1 cup crushed saltines shopping list
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan shopping list

- cheese sauce shopping list
- --------------------------------- shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 2 tblsp all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- dash white pepper shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups milk shopping list
- 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Peel and core tomatoes, but leave them whole.
- Dip each whole tomato in melted butter.
- In a small bowl, combine saltime crumbs and parmesan cheese.
- Roll tomatoes in crumb mixture,gently pressing crumbs into tomatoes. Place tomatoes in a single layer in a greased shallow baking baking dish. If there are any crumbs and butter left, combine and sprinkle over tomatoes.
- Bake at 475 for 15 minutes...watch carefully because they may burn.

- melt butter in a medium sucepan.
- Stir in flour, salt and pepper
- Add milk all at once; cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly,
- Remove from the heat, stir in parmesan cheese. Serve over tomatoes.
