Jhangiri is South indian sweet.it's easy.I learnt this from my friend.tried this for the first time.

Ingredients
  • 1 c Urad dhall-Soaked 30 min
  • 1tsp Rice flr
  • 11/2 c Sugar
  • 1 c water
  • Cardamon powder 1/2 tsp
  • Orange colour Powder a pinch

Directions
  1. Grind the Soaked Urad dal without water
  2. Make sure the batter will float in the water like butter
  3. Make a thick syrup of water & sugar & pinch of colouring pwdr,cardamon pwdr
  4. In a thick bottomed pan heat oil
  5. Make a cone from a sheet of plastic bag..
  6. Add 2 or 3 tsp if the batter into it
  7. Cut off one end to make small hole
  8. Press the batter into the oil like spirals
  9. Fry till crisp on both sides
  10. Remove from oil,drain a bit,dunk it in the sugar syrup for 10-15 min
  11. Serve it in a room temp
