How to make it

  • cut ribs into individual portions and place in roasting pan
  • mix all other ingredients and pour over ribs
  • bake covered at 300 F, turning and basting constantly (or occasionally)
  • add small amounts of water if needed
  • remove cover for last hour to brown
  • they must be done slowly, about 2.5 hours to be very well done
  • they are a rich brown colour
  • Alternate: slowcooker on low but the sauce will be red and less thick
