Cheesy Sausage Appetizers Recipe

Ingredients

8 ounces pork sausage, cooked and drained

1 pound (4 cups) shredded cheddar cheese, room temperature

1/2 pound (1 cup) butter or margarine, softened

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. black or cayenne pepper

Directions

In large mixer bowl, combine cheese, butter, flour, salt and pepper.

Beat with an electric mixer on medium-low speed.

Stir in cooked and drained sausage.

Form dough into 1 inch balls.

Place on an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 400° for 15-20 minutes or until light golden brown.

Serve warm or cold.

Store in refrigerator or freezer.

Makes about 48 appetizers.
