Cheesy Sausage Appetizers Recipe
These are lovely appetizers for a fancy party or relaxed entertaining.

Ingredients
  • 8 ounces pork sausage, cooked and drained
  • 1 pound (4 cups) shredded cheddar cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 pound (1 cup) butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black or cayenne pepper

Directions
  1. In large mixer bowl, combine cheese, butter, flour, salt and pepper.
  2. Beat with an electric mixer on medium-low speed.
  3. Stir in cooked and drained sausage.
  4. Form dough into 1 inch balls.
  5. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 400° for 15-20 minutes or until light golden brown.
  7. Serve warm or cold.
  8. Store in refrigerator or freezer.
  9. Makes about 48 appetizers.
