Not a big deal. Just a yummy way to make some left-over toast or end-of-the-bag bread, or big chunky pieces of crusty bread into a delicous side of garlic temptation.

Ingredients
  • Toast (4 pieces, your favorite or whatever's on hand)
  • 2-3 Tbs. melted butter
  • 4 dashes seasoned salt
  • 4 dashes cayenne pepper
  • parmesan cheese (enough to sprinkle on each slice, about 1/2 cup or so)
  • fresh ground black pepper (a few grinds on each slice)
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, smashed and peeled
  • fresh or dried basil (about 4 good shakes or 3-4 sprigs, depending on taste)

Directions
  1. On the lightest setting for your toaster, toast 4 slices of your favorite bread. If using thick cut bread, run under the broiler for about 30 seconds (or long enough just to firm it up some).
  2. When toast is done, take the garlic cloves and rub all over each piece, don't be stingy!!
  3. Brush each piece of toast with the butter
  4. Sprinkle each with the cayenne, seasoned salt, basil and parmesan cheese.
  5. Run back under broiler long enough to brown up toast and set the cheese (about 1 minute or so).
  6. Crack fresh ground black pepper over each piece.
  7. Enjoy!!!
