How to make it

  • After the cake has cooled poke it all over with a fork. Make the jello and while still iquid, pour SLOWLY over the holes of the cake.
  • Chill
  • Once chilled, make the pudding, poor over the cake.
  • Chill
  • Just before serving, spread with cool whip.
  • Now! Be creative
  • yellow cake, lime jello, vanilla frosting
  • straweberry cake, strawberry jello, vanilla frosting
  • chocolate cake, cherry jello, chocolate pudding
  • The list goes on and on!

    I poke my cake with a skewer or wooden handle and pour half jello while still liquid. then let the other half set till it resembles hair gel then place it in a plastic bag with corner snipped and squirt it into holes and put in fridge to let set. my kids love this we are making a chocolate with cherry jello for my sons birthday.

    Silly thing is...jello is not usually considered vegetarian!! Maybe you could find an alternative, I'll try this recipe and probably stick with it's convenience and "tried and true" history--M
