Raspberry Empanadas Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces cola
  • Raspberry jam

Directions
  1. Sift flour and salt then cut in shortening.
  2. Slowly add cola until dough forms a ball.
  3. Roll out dough and cut into 3" circles.
  4. Place teaspoonful jam on circle.
  5. Fold in half and seal edges. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
  6. Roll in granulated sugar right after you take out of the oven.
