Ingredients
  • 3 c frozen, sliced bananas (4-5 medium bananas, see note under directions)
  • 1/2 c cashew butter (or other nut butter)
  • 1/8 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 - 1/3 c pure maple syrup (or agave nectar)

Directions
  1. In food processor, process bananas until roughly chopped.
  2. Add cashew butter, salt, and syrup, pureeing until smooth.
  3. Serve immediately, and store leftovers in freezer.
  4. Note: When you have ripened bananas, slice them, and measure 1 c amounts to a ziplock bag so they are readily available.
  5. You can modify this recipe as you like by adding vanilla extract, almond extract, cinnamon, chocolate chips, or chopped nuts.

Thanks for the super recipe. I'm a big fan of dairy-free banana ice creams - sounds extra yummy with the cashew butter!


Lol thank Dreena Burton, she has absolutely delicious recipes. I would try a combination of macadamia and almond butter myself, but that's just because I'm not a fan of cashews unless they are in stir-frys.
