Lebanese Lemonade or limoonada

- 2 lemons shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- 6 ice cubes shopping list
- 3 cups cold water shopping list
- 2 teaspoons orange flower water, optional (*) shopping list
- 4 slices lemon for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- If the lemons are thick skinned, cut off the two end pieces and discard. Cut each lemon into 4 to 6 pieces and place in a blender along with any juice that escaped during cutting.
- Place lid firmly on blender and blend on maximum speed for 3 to 5 seconds. (**)
- Add sugar, ice, water, and orange flower water. Blend again on high speed for 30 seconds. Pour through a sieve into a serving pitcher.
- Serve lemonade in tall glasses with extra ice and lemon slices.
- (**) If you don't have a blender, grate the lemon peel with a zester or a fine grater and squeeze the juice from the lemon. Shake together all ingredients in a large jar, strain, and serve.

The Greeks make this same lemonade but we call it "lemonatha". I know, I know the lebanese say they invented it, the greeks say they did...LOL..jimrug1 knows this drill very well...LOL
