Vegetarian Sloppy Joes Recipe

Ingredients

1 onion, diced

12 ounces veggie soy crumbles - beef flavored (we use Morningstar Farms brand)

1 1/2 cups ketchup

3 tablespoons barbecue sauce

2 tablespoons mustard

1 tablespoon dijon mustard (Grey Poupon)

1 teaspoon pepper

2 teaspoons salt

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2-3 cloves garlic, minced

1 dash italian seasoning

1 bun of choice (toasting is optional)

(optional: horseradish sauce, Tabasco)

Directions

Sauté the onions until golden.

Add the soy crumbles and brown until they begin to become crisp

Add the rest of the ingredients and let simmer for 5 minutes or so while periodically tasting the mix to adjust the seasonings

Remove from heat, put on a bun, and enjoy
