How to make it

  • Add oil to a pan
  • Place 1/2 cup of the flour, cayenne pepper in a plastic bag
  • In a medium bowl combine remaining flour, baking powder, cornstarce, salt, pepper, whisk in guinness until smooth
  • Place sliced onions in flour mixture and coat well
  • Add to beer batter
  • Fry 2 - 3 minutes until browned
  • Place on paper towel
  • Season with salt
  • Serve hot with side of ranch and ketchup
