FRIED FANTAIL SHRIMP IN BEER BATTER

- 1 c. sifted flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 dash pepper shopping list
- 1 dash nutmeg shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1 beaten egg shopping list
- 1 c. beer shopping list
- 2 lbs. fresh shrimp shopping list
- cooking oil for frying shopping list
How to make it
- Work the above ingredients, except for the shrimp, into a beer batter.
- Peel shell from shrimp, leaving the last section and tail intact.
- Cut almost through shrimp at the center back without cutting ends.
- Dry shrimp and dip into beer batter.
- Fry in deep, hot fat until golden brown, drain, serve at once.
