How to make it

  • Cook sugar and water till the syrup reaches 118C and you get multi strings. Add liquid glucose, ghee and stir well.
  • Remove from heat and add cashew nut powder stirring continuously. If necessary add one tablespoon of water and keep stirring till the temperature comes down to 65C
  • Knead completely to make a soft dough. Roll out on a flat greased surface to a one centimetre thickness.
  • Rub a butter paper over the surface to smoothen it evenly.
  • Apply silve varq and cut into diamond pieces.
  • Store in an air- tight containers.

    just found your fabulous recipies.....can't wait to try some of them...I got to spend a couple months in India 2 different times....I love it there and miss it very much....this food will bring back many wonderful memories!
