How to make it

  • Brush bananas with honey.
  • Arrange bananas over hot coals and grill just until marked.
  • Turn and grill until bottom is marked.
  • This can be done several hours ahead.
  • Cut into thick slices right before adding to sauce.
  • Melt butter, sugar, liqueur, rum and cinnamon in skillet.
  • After it starts to bubble, add bananas.
  • Sauté just until tender and coated.
  • Divide between glasses or bowls.
  • Top with a scoop of ice cream.
  • Sprinkle with additional cinnamon.
