Given to me by a neighbor, a cross between, polenta, corn pudding
quality. Serve with meat and poultry if desired. Unique but delicious spoon bread quality. Some versions even add grated cheese to the recipe

Thanks for the recipe. I live in a predominantly Ukrainian community, though I'm not Ukrainian myself. Most ot the nachinka around here is not quite so rich. I don't think they use butter, no onions, and they do add nutmeg/allspice sometimes. And of course, most of them don't use recipes!
