Anzac Biscuits Recipe
This is an aussie favourite that's cheap and simple to make.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup white sugar (raw is OK)
  • 2/3 cup shredded coconut
  • 125g butter
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 tblsp warm water

Directions
  1. Pre-heat a moderate oven 180C. Grease two baking trays.
  2. Put dry ingredients (except the bicarbonate of soda) in a large mixing bowl and mix.
  3. Melt the butter over a low heat. Stir in the golden syrup and bicarbonate of soda, pour into dry ingredients and stir until all holding together. Put tablespoonfuls onto the baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes or until browned.
