How to make it

  • Grease a 1 lr ovenproof dish .
  • Arrange the fruit slices in the base .
  • Sprinkle half the sugar .
  • Add the bread slices , flattening them abit .
  • Add the cream egg mixture with remaining sugar and pour over the bread with the orange rind .
  • Let it stand for 30 mins .
  • Pre heat oven at 180 deg .
  • Bake for 30 mins and serve warm .
  • In Malaysia, bread pudding is consumed with custard sauce but it may be served with a sweet sauce of some sort, such as whiskey sauce, rum sauce, or caramel sauce, but is typically sprinkled with sugar and eaten cold in squares or slices.
