Italian Pudding

- 20 g butter shopping list
- 2 apples , peeled , cored and sliced into rings or dried apricots / cherries shopping list
- 75 g sugar shopping list
- 3 1/2 oz bread , siced and crusts removed shopping list
- 250 ml cream , 2 eggs beaten - mixed shopping list
- Rind from 1 orange, cut into thin strips shopping list
How to make it
- Grease a 1 lr ovenproof dish .
- Arrange the fruit slices in the base .
- Sprinkle half the sugar .
- Add the bread slices , flattening them abit .
- Add the cream egg mixture with remaining sugar and pour over the bread with the orange rind .
- Let it stand for 30 mins .
- Pre heat oven at 180 deg .
- Bake for 30 mins and serve warm .
- In Malaysia, bread pudding is consumed with custard sauce but it may be served with a sweet sauce of some sort, such as whiskey sauce, rum sauce, or caramel sauce, but is typically sprinkled with sugar and eaten cold in squares or slices.
