Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat oil in large skillet or stir fry pan.
  • Add thinly sliced beef, stiring until just lightly seared.
  • Sprinkle meat with sugar, garlic, pepper, salt and 1/2 of the soya sauce.
  • Cook for about another minute or two until meat is just about done - set aside meat in serving dish while you cook vegetables.
  • Now place the 2 tbsp. oil in same stir fry pan and reheat at medium high.
  • Add celery, green peppers, onion and remaining soya sauce. Grind additional pepper over the mixture.
  • Stir fry for a few minutes until the vegies are tender crisp - do not over cook!
  • Lastly add tomato sections and stir into vegies, add meat now and stir and cover and cook another five minutes stiring occasionally.
  • Serve at once over hot cooked rice.

I was skeptical at first, but this is awesome and got two thumbs up from hubby. I would highly recommend doubling the sauce, especially if you are serving over rice. It is on the salty side and does not need the added salt. For my full review see, "I Made It II:" Japanese Beef Stir Fry
