Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter softened (don't use margerine!)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla (use the real thing if you can...)
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/3 cup pecan halfs
  • 1 tbsp black sesame seeds (can get these at any asian grocery store)

Directions
  1. Line 2 rimless baking sheets wiht parchment paper or grease; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter with sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg, milk and vanilla.
  3. In separate bowl, whisk flour with baking powder; stir into butter mixture until smooth. Stir in all but 1 tbsp of the white sesame seeds.
  4. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, onto prepared pans. Press a pecan half into each. Sprinkle with black and remaining white sesame seeds.
  5. Bake in top and bottom thirds of 375 oven, switching and rotating pans halfway through (if you are doing two pans at once). Cook until crisp and caramel brown - about 7 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes; transfer to racks and let cool completely. Makes about 32 cookies.
  6. Enjoy!!
  7. Per cookies: about 90 cal, 1g pro, 6 g total fat (2g sat. fat), 9g carb, trace fibre. 13mg chol, 33 mg sodium.
