Another cool salad treat adapted from my old Betty Crocker's Family Dinners in a Hurry. "Cook" time is chill time.

Ingredients
  • 1 medium red apple, unpeeled
  • 1 medium green or golden apple, unpeeled
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup pitted dates, chopped
  • 1/2 cup seedless red grapes
  • 1/2 cup seedless green grapes
  • 1 can pineapple chunks, drained (approx 13 1/2 ounces)
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup sour cream

Directions
  1. Slice unpeeled apples in thin slices into serving bowl.
  2. Sprinkle lemon juice over the apple slices and toss to coat well. This will help keep the apples from turning brown.
  3. Add dates, grapes, pineapple, marshmallows and nuts.
  4. Stir mayonnaise and sour cream together in a small bowl.
  5. Pour over fruit and mix to coat fruit.
  6. Chill at least half an hour.
