Cantonese Meatballs Recipe
A very nice meatball that is good over rice or pasta but also good as an appetizer. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 20 ounce can pineapple chunks in syrup
  • 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 5 tablespoons teriyaki sauce divided
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon catsup
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons instant minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions
  1. Drain pineapple and reserve syrup.
  2. Combine syrup, brown sugar, 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, vinegar and catsup then set aside.
  3. Mix beef with remaining 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce and onion then shape into 20 meatballs.
  4. Brown meatballs in large skillet then drain off excess fat.
  5. Pour syrup mixture over meatballs and simmer 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
  6. Dissolve cornstarch in water then stir into skillet with pineapple.
  7. Cook and stir until sauce thickens and pineapple is heated through.
