An easy cocoa syrup. See below for the method of serving!

Ingredients
  • Sugar - 1 and 1/2 cups
  • Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp (Substitute: drinking chocolate/ chocolate powder)
  • Water - 1 and 1/2 cups

Directions
  1. Mix 2 tbsp sugar with the cocoa powder and keep aside.
  2. Add water to remaining sugar and boil. When syrup thickens, filter it.
  3. Add the cocoa-sugar mixture and stir well. (Stir carefully, so that no lumps are formed)
  4. Again, boil the syrup for 2 minutes. Allow it to thicken.
  5. When the syrup glows bright, remove from heat and allow it to cool.
  6. Keep in air-tight containers and refrigerate.

  8. SERVING METHODS
  9. Method 1: Mix 1 and 1/2 tbsp of the syrup with hot/ cold milk and serve.
  10. Method 2: Grind cold milk, vanilla ice-cream and the syrup to make tasty milk shake.
  11. Method 3: To make chocolate sauce - Heat 2 and 1/2 tbsps syrup with 1/2 tbsp melted butter and 1 tbsp of corn flour. Allow it to thicken. Garnish with whipped cream.
