Cocoa Syrup

- sugar - 1 and 1/2 cups shopping list
- cocoa powder - 2 tbsp (Substitute: drinking chocolate/ chocolate powder) shopping list
- water - 1 and 1/2 cups shopping list
How to make it
- Mix 2 tbsp sugar with the cocoa powder and keep aside.
- Add water to remaining sugar and boil. When syrup thickens, filter it.
- Add the cocoa-sugar mixture and stir well. (Stir carefully, so that no lumps are formed)
- Again, boil the syrup for 2 minutes. Allow it to thicken.
- When the syrup glows bright, remove from heat and allow it to cool.
- Keep in air-tight containers and refrigerate.

- SERVING METHODS
- Method 1: Mix 1 and 1/2 tbsp of the syrup with hot/ cold milk and serve.
- Method 2: Grind cold milk, vanilla ice-cream and the syrup to make tasty milk shake.
- Method 3: To make chocolate sauce - Heat 2 and 1/2 tbsps syrup with 1/2 tbsp melted butter and 1 tbsp of corn flour. Allow it to thicken. Garnish with whipped cream.
