Date Ginger and Apple Cake

An easy, quick preparation cake that you can adapt to suit your ingredients. This is the sort of recipe I love! Also - the ginger makes it a great cake for winter...
Ingredients
- 1 cup roughly chopped dates (heaped) shopping list
- 1/2 cup glace ginger (or sultanas) shopping list
- 1 large diced apple shopping list
- 1 tbspn butter shopping list
- 2 tbspns golden syrup (or another heavy syrup) shopping list
- 1 tspn vanilla essence shopping list
- 1 cup boiling water shopping list
- 2 cups SR flour shopping list
- 1 tspn mixed spice shopping list
- 1/2 tspn chili shopping list
How to make it
- Mix it all up!
- Bang it into a greased form of your choice
- Cook 30-40 mins in a moderate oven (around 200 degrees C)
- Allow to cool, and have a cuppa with it!!!
