Bavarian Apple Raisin Tart

- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest grated shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg shopping list
- 6 medium apples shopping list
- 1 cup raisins shopping list
- 9" pie crust shopping list
- 1 large egg beaten shopping list
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 425 then spray deep dish pie plate with cooking spray.
- In large bowl combine sugars, flour, zest, cinnamon and nutmeg then mix well.
- Peel core and thinly slice apples then add to sugar mixture stirring until well coated.
- Stir in raisins then spoon into prepared plate.
- Place piecrust on top of filling and trim edges pressing against edge of pan.
- Using a sharp knife cut steam vents in piecrust.
- To glaze lightly brush pie crust with beaten egg then sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake until pie crust is golden brown about 40 minutes.
- Place on wire rack and cool 30 minutes then serve warm.
