Deer Steak Marinade Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup safflower oil

1/4 cup garlic vinegar

1 tbls. lemon juice

2 tbls. minced onion

1 tsp. minced garlic

1 tsp. each salt, marjoram, basil, and thyme

1/2 tsp. black pepper

6 -- 8oz. deer steaks ( any cut )

Directions

blend all ingredients . place steaks in pan , pour marinade over steaks. Cover & refridgerate for 4-6 hrs . grill steaks over med. coals until desired doneness.

Now I love deer meat, and moose meat, well game meat in particular as my dad's side of the family are country folk and they look forward to going hunting every year looking for that prized deer. I was given a few deer steaks from a family member and I'm currently living with my mom's side of the family...who isn't as country and the thought of deer makes them turn their nose up. but if I put them in this marinade I bet they would just love them.
